A brand new show with Paul Lyalls and Otiz Cannelloni devised especially for Holloway Arts Festival! A fabulous hour of stand-up poetry, walk-around comedy, and sit-up-and-beg magic for ages 5 - 555. Little children feel free to bring a Mum or a Dad, even your own. Parents and guardians, feel free to enjoy yourselves - even talk with one another.
Otiz Cannelloni produces stand up, magic, magical stand up, stand up magic and a laugh every 90 seconds. Combines the illusion of magic and the logic of stand up to produce a hybrid comic creation. With a mind more suited to testing crash helmets, his performance fluctuates between sheer genius and downright stupidity. Paul Lyalls mixes and mashes hilarious verse and stories- just add butter. Paul has performed at The Royal Festival Hall, five Glastonbury’s, Edinburgh Festival, Hay-On-Wye Literature Festival and on BBC1, CH4, and Carlton TV. In 2004 and 2005 Paul wrote and performed the highly acclaimed, sell-out, family poetry/storytelling shows “Are we nearly there yet”. Paul also landed the role of host for the BBC2 big Slam Poetry House TV show.
