As well as dance performances including The Circus of Us and Unicorn Dance Co.

Join Nicola Pomery and Charlene Sandy, leaders of Rowan Arts' Urban Craft Club and Knitting Club, to help complete a colourful Summer inspired wall-hanging, that the Urban Craft Club have been working on over the past 6 weeks. The piece is a communal effort by the club who have been using wool and recycling textiles to combine various processes of knitting, sewing, tying and knotting.

If you would like to get involved, please bring along any colourful wool and textiles you have at home. Suitable for all levels and age 16+.

Nicola Pomery was born in Ireland and now lives and works in London. She graduated in 2008 with an MA in Fine Art from Byam Shaw School of Art, for which she was awarded the South Square Trust Scholarship. In 2010 she exhibited her first  solo show, ‘Observation Post’, at Studio 1.1 Gallery on Redchurch Street, appearing also in the group exhibition ‘At Play 2’, Bracknell Gallery, South Hill Park. She has exhibited throughout the UK at the Phoenix Gallery, Apthorp Gallery, APT Gallery, OVADA Gallery, Surface Gallery and Orleans House Gallery.

Come and help make some sun-printed bunting to decorate the street with on the day.

This unique photographic bunting will be created piece by piece by you using a direct printing technique called a cyanotype (or sun print) to create a growing length of bunting throughout the day.Bunting flags will be provided. All we need is you, your design and the sun (I have a replica sun as a back up too, just in case).

Let's see how much bunting we can make in a day!

1-4 pm Penalty Shoot Out with Arsenal!

A performance piece from Instantly Theatrical with holloway-based professional choreographer, Lorraine Smith, and volunteer performers. Including costumes made from recycled material by local arts groups. The theatrically comedic, high-energy dance piece will use 1950s music and a mix of styles!

The piece will also be performed at Big Day Out on Sunday 12 June.

Angela Reith, musician and Mayton Street resident, will have her guitar at the ready throughout the festival for random sing-a-longs of favourite songs. Bring your voices and your song suggestions!
