Holloway Arts Festival 2008 brought a packed programme of music, dance, comedy, literature, film, arts and crafts to Holloway. The line up included Connecting Conversations with directors Mike Leigh and Stephen Poliakoff, events with performance poets Francesca Beard and Paul Lyalls, workshops with authors and illustrators, art and craft events and Reel Islington screenings.
The Big Day Out in Whittington Park took place on 5 July with a carnival procession based on Edward Lear’s The Jumblies, main stage music, a range of acts in the dance and performance tent and lots of free arts and crafts activities.
