Mayton Street Festival will go ahead as planned in the case of wet weather and activities will be relocated inside the Old Fire Station where possible. Please come and enjoy yourselves and bring a brolly!

Mayton Street Afternoon Tea Party
Enjoy tea, cake and conversation with your delightful host Katy Baird and go on a journey together to discover the varied history of England’s noisiest of neighbours – Scotland. Katy will be joined at each sitting by a very special guest co-host. Tickets are £2.50 for tea and cake and can be bought in advance for the sittings at 2:30pm, 3:30pm and 4:30pm.

TRAID is a charity working to wear poverty out. With 1 of 11 charity shops located on Holloway Road we provide opportunities for Islington residents to make more sustainable choices within the community as well as supporting global projects that look to improving worker’s conditions and reduce the environmental impact of our clothes. On Saturday 7th June, join TRAID’s #secondhandfirst campaign. Find out about the social and environmental injustices in the fashion industry and how you can make a difference!

Meitheal Cheoil
Come and enjoy a medley of traditional Irish tunes played by members of local community Irish Music Group Meitheal Cheoil. Founded more than twenty years ago by Karen Ryan and Kathy Walton, Meitheal Cheoil promotes the learning of Traditional Irish Music for Children and Adults in North London. Join us for some jigs, reels, polkas, hornpipes and barn dances played on mandolin, fiddle, flute, whistle, concertina and bodhran. Wild Bunch DJs
The Wild Bunch Club are a group of disabled DJs and MCs that has been running club nights for people with learning difficulties and everyone else since 1997. The group have sold more than 16,000 tickets to their events over the years and regularly have more than 250 people at their club nights. They are currently based at Electrowerkz near Angel. DJ Loydie Ranks, 32, said: It means a lot to us to run our club, we like reaching out to people and enjoy what we do. Recently the Wild Bunch Club Committee – who run the club - were pleased to accept an award from the Mayor of Islington for outstanding contribution to life 2014. The Club Committee are supported in their work by the Elfrida Society.
Clare Connors: Traffic Ocean Archway
Traffic ocean archway is a new work for solo violin with samples by Holloway composer Clare Connors. Written while on site in a shop window on Junction Road in Archway the work is infused with the voices and noises of the street and is a celebration of life in Archway. Clare Connors is an award winning British composer living in London. She has written commissions for London Arts, Women in Music and the PRSF, and most recently the orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment who performed her piece Corelli Leaves at the Queen Elizabeth Hall; it was hailed as a great success. Her critically acclaimed albums ‘Possessed’ and ‘Luminitza’for the Balanescu Quartet include her own works and her famous covers of the German techno band Kraftwerk and David Byrne of Talking Heads. Her most recent collaborations include working with the jazz trumpeter Guy Barker and Paloma Faith. She has her own group Red Angel who will appear later this year at the London Jazz Festival.
Daniel Pattison
Daniel is a Reading-born singer songwriter now living in London who makes modern folk.

Funky Disco Dancers
The ever-popular over-55s dance troupe from Claremont return to tear up the street. Choreographed by Simona Scotto.
